King's Winter Garden

The King’s Winter Garden is a light exhibition referencing the beauty of architecture and history of the palace. Visiting it after dark, guests enter a space in which they can feel like they are at the royal court.

The elements and details of this luminous exhibition are references to iconographic sources, King Jan III Sobieski’s coat of arms, and Palace symbols. The entrance to the garden is guarded by eagles perched on an illuminated pergola. The North Garden offers a stroll down an avenue overgrown with twining vines and a 17th-century gazebo. The next stop is the candelabra-illuminated Upper Terrace with lights shaped into King Jan III’s coat of arms and intricate light pavilions. Orange trees bloom with light in the central part of this garden – just like the ones the royal orangery once housed. Guests are welcome to take pictures in the beautifully patterned illuminated photo frame with the Palace in the background.
