Galeria portretu staropolskiego na piętrze pałacu wilanowskiego, fot. Zbigniew Reszka.jpg

The next stage of the “Modernisation and reconstruction of the Garden Gallery exhibition halls on the upper level of the Palace” task is beginning. The museum conducted and successfully completed a tender procedure, through which a contractor was selected. It will be the Wrocław-based company Przedsiębiorstwo Budowlano-Konserwatorskie CASTELLUM Sp. z o.o. The contract was signed in mid-September.

The signing of the contract started preparatory activities in practice: preparation of a detailed material and financial schedule, templates of reporting reports (in accordance with the principles of EU project promotion), preparation of the Quality Assurance Programme and other necessary documents. At the same time the General Contractor started technical preparations for the works. The construction site was organised: objects of small garden architecture located in the immediate vicinity were secured, and a fence was set up around the area.

The museum, as a beneficiary of structural funds, has also launched a procedure of submitting tender documentation for evaluation by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, to be checked by the ministry’s experts.

Ahead of us are the next stages of renovation and conservation works, about which we will provide information on an ongoing basis.
