Installing a ventilation and air-conditioning system in the 3D Exhibit Rendering Office in the Orangery basement

Installing an air-conditioning system in the Orangery basement ensured strict control over temperature and humidity levels in three independent sections of the laboratory. Such a solution makes it possible to adjust the ambient conditions to the requirements of the scanned exhibits. Stabilising the conditions throughout the measurement process is also critical for keeping the highest measurement parameters (i.a., extending the durability of the calibration of the scanning system). The installation of a professional air-conditioning system is the last step towards expanding the technical infrastructure of the 3D scanning laboratory. Due to the implementation of this project, the Wilanów Palace Museum has achieved the optimum use of space for 3D and multi-spectrum measurement. Having spaces thoroughly redeveloped in line with the highest standards, instead of temporarily adapted spaces, enables us to scan the most valuable treasures of the Polish cultural heritage in perfect conditions.

Installing an air-conditioning system in the Orangery basement was conducted as a part of the “The revitalisation and digitalisation of Wilanów, the only Baroque royal residence in Poland” project. The Project had secured support from the European Regional Development Fund under the Infrastructure and Environment 2007-2013 Operational Programme, Priority XI “Culture and Cultural Heritage”, Activity 11.1. Protecting and maintaining cultural heritage of over-regional importance. In accordance with the adopted Project Implementation Scheme, the investment was completed by 30 September 2015. The total value of the Project: PLN 18 854 348,06. The amount of additional financing: PLN 14 912 881,37 (European Regional Development Fund: PLN 12 675 949,15, and State Budget: PLN 2 236 932,22).
