The project “www.muzeach”, co-financed by the EU, has started

We are pleased to announce that on April 1, 2019, an agreement was signed between the Project Centre Digital Poland and the Museum of King Jan III’s Palace at Wilanów for the co-funding of the project “www.muzeach.”

Five museums maintained or co-maintained by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage: Museum of King Jan III’ Palace at Wilanów (project leader), the POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews, National Museum in Lublin, National Museum in Szczecin and Castle Museum in Łańcut will expand and enhance access to their cultural resources in digital form.

Ten activities will be implemented under the project:

  • digitisation and 2D publication of exhibits;
  • digitisation and publication of digital resources using advanced 2D presentation techniques (Gigapixel and RTI);
  • digitisation and publication of 3D digital collections using photogrammetric techniques and structured light scanning;
  • documentation and publication of spatial data using the Geographic Information System (GIS);
  • development of a common search engine;
  • development of infrastructure – purchases related to the development of server room, digitisation lab, construction works related to adaptation;
  • staff training;
  • other educational activities;
  • promotion;
  • project administration.

Project co-financed from European Funds and from the funds of the Ministry of Culture and National of the Republic of Poland. The project is implemented under the Operational Programme Digital Poland for the years 2014-2020, Priority Axis 2 “E-government and open government,” Action 2.3 “Digital availability and usefulness of public sector information,” Sub-action 2.3.2 “Digital availability of culture resources.”
