Regulations for visitting the park of The Museum of King Jan III's Palace at Wilanów

The royal palace, the surrounding historic gardens, as well as the Wilanów and Morysin parks, are legally protected historic areas and a valuable natural ensemble. We entrust our visitors with the care of them.

The parks and gardens are a part of the museum and a traditional open “palace salon”. Sections and alleys in front of the gate to the palace courtyard are a part of the museum park, the Stanisława Kostki Potockiego Street belongs to the Capital City of Warsaw, and the Służewiecki Stream and Wilanów Lake are administered by other entites.

To enjoy your stay at the park and gardens and admire their charm, you must abide by the rules listed below, for the observance of which we ask on behalf of all visitors. The rules will safeguard the museum property, which constitutes a public good, from destruction and loss of value. May this be your contribution to the protection of the flora and fauna of the park.

1. Admission to the garden surrounding the palace is paid throughout the year, except Thursdays (free-entry day).
2. Entrance tickets to the park can be purchased online, in the ticket office, located in the foreground of the Museum (Kostki Potockiego St. 10/16), open 7 days a week from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (except for selected holidays) and in ticket machines in the foreground and at the control gates, available during the park's opening hours - card payment only.

For the same reasons, animals are not allowed into the park, except for specially marked guide dog to help the blind and the visually impaired, hearing dog to help the deaf and hard of hearing and medical response dog – in accordance with the provisions of the Act on Vocational Rehabilitation and Social Affairs of August 27, 1997.
10. Destroying the park, its artistic setting and equipment (tourist and technical), is prohibited; this refers in particular to:
 — littering,
 — catching and frightening animals,

 — plucking and breaking plants,
 — walking through flower meadows and flower beds in the gardens,
 — picking leaves and flowers, and collecting herbs, fruit, and mushrooms,
 — lighting and use of fire.
11. The park can be the city’s silent zone, a place for listening to the sounds of nature, enjoying historic objects, intimate conversations, and reading – which is why we kindly ask not to use portable sound devices (such as radios or music players) that may disturb the peace, including sound amplifiers used by guides.
12. In the northern park, visitors can lie on the grass, enjoying the views of the Roman Bridge and King Sobieski's Canal in the Morysin park nature reserve.
13. It is prohibited to fish in the lake from the banks of the park.
14. We kindly remind that the park is a public area, therefore it is strictly prohibited to consume alcoholic beverages, organize private picnics, sunbathe, smoke cigarettes, use any kind of drugs or fragrances that may have an impact on the environment.
15. It is strictly prohibited to bring firearms or dangerous and sharp tools into the area.
16. The conduct of business activities and staying in the park beyond visiting hours require authorisation from the director of the museum.
17. 18. It is prohibited to use drones and powered hang-gliders in the museum area.
19. During the museum events, photographs and videos may be recorded by the organizer in order to provide information about museum activities, as well as to document and advertise them. [item] 1432, as amended), qualified security employees have the right to intervene and demand that anyone who fails to submit to these regulations leave the museum. Visitors are not entitled to any claims in this regard. Upon entering the museum, both the visitors and their luggage are subject to control, including scanning with electronic devices for the detection of hazardous materials and objects. Anyone who refuses to undergo control or deposit their luggage in the cloakroom will not be allowed into the museum.
27. To ensure the safety of the visitors, the museum reserves the right to close the park in case of adverse weather conditions, above all: gusty winds, severe storms, and heavy rain. In the event of a sudden deterioration of the weather, visitors should immediately leave the park area and follow the instructions of the museum security staff.
28. We advise the visitors that the use of motor vehicles and equipment for cleaning and short-term restrictions of access to some park areas is caused by the need to maintain the park in the best condition and by the fact that not all required procedures can be conducted beyond the visiting hours.
29. Visitors to the park are kindly asked to follow the instructions and advice of the museum staff who are responsible for the safety of historic objects.

Thank you for observing the rules! Feel free to visit the museum again!
