Royal Garden of Light
The Royal Garden of Light in Wilanów is back! Warsaw’s favourite fall/winter exhibition opens on 9 October 2021 and will not close until 27 February 2022. Feel invited!
The Royal Garden of Light at the Wilanów Palace is an outdoor exhibition where thousands of multi-coloured diodes have been shaped into artful light sculptures. Our installations are bound to brighten up dull wintry evenings, and satisfy kids and adults alike!
As dusk falls on Wilanów Park, a 75-metre tunnel lights up to guide visitors to the Palace to the sounds of classical music. The next glowing guidepost, the eagle-guarded illuminated pergola, leads to the King’s Winter Garden. Stroll down the alley overgrown with twining vines and enjoy the orange trees as they bloom with light. A few steps further on, feel free to use the illuminated frame to take a photo of yourself against a backdrop of the Palace. Designed to capture truly regal splendour, the Illuminated Carousel–with hundreds of warm flickering lights enlivened by cool glows–perfectly completes this year’s Royal Garden of Light.
We have also planned some surprises for this year, and we will reveal them gradually over the exhibition’s subsequent weeks. We will unveil our biggest wonder at the beginning of December... That is when we will light up one more part of the exhibition: the Rose Garden!
On some evenings, the Wilanów Palace will change beyond recognition... Join us for the spectacular mapping shows displayed on the Palace façade.
