Shadow and robots – how museum works
movie
Why is it usually very dark in some rooms in the palace, do we really show only original artworks, why can’t people go everywhere and see all the exhibits, and what do the various strange objects do in the rooms – dehumidifiers, mats, roller blinds...?
We present the film Shadow and robots – how museum works, in which we take on the questions of museum guests. In March 2019, the film was entered in the FilmAT Festival. As the website of the event states: “The aim of the festival is to present the latest trends in documentaries, TV reports, tourism communication, corporate and institutional film’s and the recognition of the audio-visual productions according to their artistic level and impact on the target group”. We are therefore, pleased with the interest of the festival organisers in the production of the Museum of King Jan III’s Palace in Wilanów – it shows not only that the issue of protection and security of monuments is important, but also that it is extremely important to present such professional topics in a simple and understandable way for the so-called “average” audience.
The film was produced as part of the “Restoration and protection of the symbol of the Polish cultural heritage – the Museum of King Jan III’s Palace in Wilanów” project, co-financed by the European Union from the funds of the European Regional Development Programme as part of the Operational Programme Infrastructure and Environment.
